Load an application

Use the Load Application Widget to load a FactoryTalk Optix Application to the device from a USB drive.

  1. On the device, open the screen with the Load Application Widget.
  2. In Enter application path, navigate to the FactoryTalk Optix Application to load from the USB drive or select Browse to browse for the application.
  3. If a password was created when the application was exported, in Password, enter the password.
  4. Specify whether any existing application files on the remote device are retained or replaced:
    • Select Delete application files with update to replace FactoryTalk Optix Application files such as the datalog if you are downloading a new FactoryTalk Optix Application.
    • Clear Delete application files with update to retain existing FacatoryTalk Optix Application files such as the datalog if you are downloading the same FactoryTalk Optix Application with only small changes or additions.
    ##### displays any errors or diagnostic messages that occur when the FactoryTalk Optix Application loads.
  5. Select Load.
