Connect to remote access

Configure remote access to the device as well as remote assistance through the FactoryTalk Remote Access Widget.

  1. On the device, open the screen with the FactoryTalk Remote Access Widget.
    If you created your project using the OptixPanel template on the start page, select Settings and then select FT Remote Access
    On the Connections tab of the widget, FT Remote Access runtime version displays the version that is running on the device.
  2. To connect the device to the FactoryTalk Remote Access application, select Connections.
  3. Under FT Remote Access connection, select Connect.
    If your device is already added to the FactoryTalk Remote Access domain, the device is automatically connected. If your device is not in the FactoryTalk Remote Access domain, you are prompted to add your device in FactoryTalk Remote Access with the displayed device id and password.
