Approve a remote connection from FactoryTalk Remote Access to a device

If you are on a panel and Approve Remote Access is enabled in the FactoryTalk Remote Access application, you may receive requests from FactoryTalk Remote Access users who are trying to connect remotely to the device. You must then approve or deny a request to connect to the remote device.

  1. On the device, open the screen with the FactoryTalk Remote Access Widget.
    If you created your project using the OptixPanel template on the start page, select Settings and then select FT Remote Access
  2. Connections on the widget displays the FT Remote Access runtime version that is running on the device.

    A message appears at the bottom of the FT Remote Access widget to either approve or deny the request.

  3. To allow the FactoryTalk Remote Access user to connect to the remote device, select Yes to approve the connection, or select No to deny the request.
