Display multiple active alarms for an object

At runtime, if the same alarm activates repeatedly, the Alarm grid widget displays the most recent alarm event. Use branching to display multiple active alarms for the same alarm object.

In the Alarm grid widget, all active alarms for the same alarm object appear and must be acknowledged and confirmed. Alarm events do not occur when variables return to normal status in the controller.

Rockwell Automation recommends branching when a project requires rigorous control and alarm count. For example, use branching in production processes for products that are subject to certification, such as medical products.

  1. At the top of Project view, select the main project node .
  2. In Properties, expand Alarm configuration, and then in Branching enabled, select True.
