Assign a user to a group or role

Manage users and groups from the dashboard page to assign users to groups and roles in order and create a hierarchy of rights and privileges.

Create users and groups and roles and then assign users to the groups and roles.
  1. In the main toolbar, select Open dashboard page and then select Manage users and groups.
  2. On the dashboard page, either:
    • Under Users, drag a user onto a group under Groups or onto a role under Roles. You can also drag a group or role onto a user. Hold down Shift or Ctrl to select and drag consecutive or multiple selections.
    • Select one or more users, select Assign to groups or roles, select the groups and roles, and then select Apply.
    Tip: Group assigned appears next to a group or role that is already assigned to a user. You can assign the user to a group or role from Project view by dragging the user to the group or role in Project view.
The user appears under the group on the dashboard page.
