View changes to a project

View the committed changes of the open project by viewing the project history.

In Version history, Local history represents a change that is committed to the local repository and Remote history represents a change that is pushed to the remote repository. If you are not using version control on your computer, Configure version control to view project history in FactoryTalk Optix Studio.

  1. In the main toolbar of the open project, select View history.
  2. In Version history, select Select box to select a commit. The changes in the commit appear highlighted. If the project is new, all content for the project is highlighted.
  3. Expand a highlighted object to view the changes in the object.
Tip: Values that change in an object are crossed out and an arrow points to the new value.
