Assign a role to a user or group

Assign roles to users and groups to create a hierarchy of roles with assigned rights and privileges.
Add a role
  1. In the main toolbar, select Open dashboard page and then select Manage users and groups.
  2. On the dashboard page, either:
    • Under Roles, drag a group onto a user under Users or onto a group under Groups. You can also drag a user or group onto a role. Hold down Shift or Ctrl to select and drag consecutive or multiple selections.
    • Select one or more roles, select Assign to users or groups, select the users and groups, and then select Apply.
    Tip: Group assigned appears next to a group or role that is already assigned to a role. You can assign the role to a user or group from Project view by dragging the role to the user or group in Project view.
The role appears assigned to the user or group on the dashboard page.
