Assign a role to a user or group
Assign roles to users and groups to create a hierarchy of roles with assigned rights and privileges.

In the main toolbar, select
Open dashboard page and then select Manage users and groups.

On the dashboard page, either:
- Under Roles, drag a group onto a user under Users or onto a group under Groups. You can also drag a user or group onto a role. Hold down Shift or Ctrl to select and drag consecutive or multiple selections.
- Select one or more roles, select Assign to users or groups, select the users and groups, and then select Apply.
Tip:appears next to a group or role that is already assigned to a role. You can assign the role to a user or group from Project view by dragging the role to the user or group in Project view.
