Edit a recipe schema

You can edit recipe schema properties by using a dedicated interface built into FactoryTalk Optix.

Prerequisites

Configure a recipe schema

To edit a recipe schema

From the toolbar, select Open dashboard page.
In the central pane, select Configure a recipe.
Select the recipe that you want to edit.
If needed, edit the Name and Target node properties.
Select Next.
Select an existing database or configure a new database:
- To use an existing database:
  1. Select an existing database.
  2. If necessary, edit the database properties.
  3. Select Next.
- To create a database:
  1. Select New database.
  2. If needed, edit the Name and Type fields.
  3. Select Next.
  4. If necessary, edit the database properties.
  5. Select Next.
- To duplicate an available database:
  Tip: Duplicating an existing database allows you to create a database base on the existing database quickly.
  1. Right-click an available database and select Duplicate.
  2. If necessary, edit the database properties.
Select Next.
Select the recipe parameters to use.

Tip: You can show or hide variables (parameters) nested in other variables by using the Nested variables toggle. You can quickly find the parameters that you want to select by using the Search field.
Select Next.
Review the settings.
Select Exit.
